Playa Zancudo is an isolated peninsula with beautiful beaches. It is located on the southwestern coast of Costa Rica. It is perfect for those looking to really get away from it all. Located on the warm waters of the Golfo Dulce, this 6-mile long stretch of beach offers peace and quiet, surfing, fishing, and ample beach combing opportunities. This stunning beach is best suited for those looking for a laid-back beach experience.

The beach break at Playa Zancudo is a local favorite. Or for point break surf you can travel by ATV on the beach or car on the beach road further south to experience the breaks of Pilon, Punta Saleas, Pavones, and Punta Banco.  At the Zancudo docks taxi boats can take you out to the harder to get to breaks of Mata Palo, Backwash, and PanDulce.

The peninsula of Playa Zancudo is surrounded by water with the Pacific at its front door and the Rio Coto behind it. The fishing in this area is off the hook. It is a very convenient destination with the Golfito airport servicing local airlines and private jets a 15-minute boat ride away.

Just a short drive down a dirt road is the famous surf mecca, Pavones. Best known for being the Worlds Longest Left: second in the world. Tourists flock to this area to surf this incredible wave.
