Pilon a Short Walk from the Lot
Pilon is the unspoken rival to Pavones. It features the same long, left-hand point break wave. Wide open faces with long speed sections racing for over half a mile. There is another surf spot with gentler waves that is great for beginners and intermediate surfers but with a lot less surfers. Playa Pavones Point is only 10 minutes away. Besides the amazing surf we have here in Pavones, the area also boasts some of the world’s best big-game fishing where the large Tunas, Mahi’s, and Snappers will give you the fight of your life. The area is planted with a variety of fruit trees and food, including citrus, avocado, pineapples, coconut palms and more! The wildlife here is second to none and you will see Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, Aracaris, Jaguarundis, Howler monkeys, sea turtles and even giant whales
