The Sol y Mar sits perfectly in the middle of the Zancudo Peninsula. This makes it the perfect gathering spot for expats, ticos and visitors. The atmosphere is festive and the drinks/food are delicious!
Drink Specials Its proximity to the equator means the climate of Costa Rica only has two main seasons, summer and winter. Dinners Summer is the dry season in Costa Rica, which means the water temperatures are warmer. This, in turn, attracts more life. This means baitfish begin to flourish drawing in larger schools of the trophy species. Horseshoes Once a week on Sundays at 1PM the Sol y Mar hosts a horseshoe tournament. They are almost as much fun to watch as to play. Otherwise, you can play horseshoes after lunch if you like.

You can always look forward to their famous bbq nights Make sure you tak the time to try the ribs, brochettes and more.. There are other nights like taco night which makes you salivate just thinking about the possibilities.
When someone has made a fresh tuna catch, it usually ends up on the menu which is a real treat. Otherwise, favourites like Mahi-Mahi, spaghetti and meatballs and more leave you thinking about what to order all day. They play great tunes, have live music at least once a week and also show sports on the tv during the day.
Some nights are quiet and others turn into quite the party. You can't be sure what will happen, or when a tequila shot will be send over, but you can be sure to be surrounded by great food, great music and especially great people.
