With its own in-house bar, and large entertainment area with pool table, tv’s and karaoke, guests can kick back post surf session, and unwind over a Bintang and a game of pool. Built in 2014, Sumatra Surf Resort is the third largest plot of beachfront land on The Point, boasting 7,108 square meters of prime real estate. Designed with authenticity in true Indonesian style, Sumatra Surf Resort offers practicality and comfort whilst allowing guests to experience a laid-back atmosphere. The resort is nestled amongst towering coconut palms that keep our place cool all year round and supply our guests with FREE coconut water whenever they want.
Walking through the shade-covered grounds towards the beach is our swimming pool, beach deck and bar perfect for sunsets or just taking in the view of the waves.
The ocean view pool offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and is the largest swimming pool in the area. Ideal for non-surfing friends or family members, or that post surf wash down with a cocktail in hand at sunset. Star gaze from the watch tower at night and take in the backdrop sound of the lapping waves on the sandy shore or listen out for those jungle noises far off in the distance.
The property is built on an expansive coconut palm grove, with 14 joglo style wooden bungalows nestled in amongst the towering shady palms. Each bungalow is 35sqm with a private bathroom and front veranda, overlooking the impressive grounds and the swell lines out front.

A popular destination that attracts locals and visitors alike is Keg’s bar. Guests like to head there for an icy cold beer or soft drink, play pool, surf the net or just relax and watch the surf DVD playing. The resort bar has Satellite TV with all the major sports.
Currently run by an excellent team of Indonesians, Sumatra Surf Resort prides its ethos on being a key contributor to the community and running the business with staff who are like family.
Sumatra Surf Resort currently has absentees owners, the infrastructure is there, and the property is a vast plot of land with potential for a significantly larger commercial development to be built. The property can provide a full P&L to potential buyers for insight into the business financial history and forecasts.
The resort has a solid income but as with all of the Indonesia resorts, it is now rebounding and poised to do much more. It currently has absentee owners. Full P&L available upon request. With additional marketing and attention to increased exposure, this could be doubled or more.
In the last 20 years, there has been significant growth and investment from both domestic and foreign entities. The area has transformed from a hard-to-reach remote surf location to a much more accessible tourist destination.
Lampung regency is home to many beautiful attractions including waterfalls, jungle trekking, National Parks, hot springs, rice paddies, volcanoes, lakes, white water rafting, snorkeling or island hopping. There are a variety of cafes and restaurants in the area offering up both Western and Local cuisine as well as an ATM, local markets, and a number of convenience stores.
